Routing

Routing button is available for Entries, Queues and Activities. Press the Routing  button to open form for setting routing rules. The routing rules apply to entities, which are leaving the element.  The rules are important for elements with more successors. To select the rule, switch the multipage control to page with selected rule. Following rules are available.

• Probability is default rule. In default settings, all successors are chosen with the same probability, which equals 1 divided by number of successors. The probabilities can be changed. Select successor from list Successors, insert new value into the field Probability and click Change. The new values are confirmed, when you click Ok and the sum of probabilities in the field is approximately 1 (between 0.999 and 1.001).
• Sort by type. If you select this rule, you can assign successor to each type of  entity. Select entity type from list Entity types, select successor from list Successors and click Add. one successor can be assigned to more types of entities, but each type of entities can be associated with only one successor.
• Shortest queue. Entity is selecting successor with the shortest queue length. If more successors has the shortest queue of the same length, choice between them is done randomly with equal probabilities. Activities with at least on free replication are considered to be successors with queue length 0. End points are also always considered to have queue length 0.
• Preference. Entities are choosing successors on highest position of the list with the free capacity.  To change position of some successors select the successor and pres Up or Down.
