Running simulation

In the simulation group, you can find following buttons

Run

Press Run to start the simulation. After pressing run, you will be asked to insert duration of simulation (in minutes). After inserting the time,  new form Time will show up and simulation will run until inserted time is reached, or until Stop button on Time form is pressed. If you press Stop, the simulation is stopped, but before stopping the simulation, all events, which must happen in current simulation time, are processed.

If you press Run again, simulation continues, until time limit, which was inserted originally, is reached. Starting simulation will disable changes of structure and parameters of the simulation model, until the simulation is stopped, and Clear button is pressed.

Step

Pressing Step button causes starting simulation, moving simulation time to the moment of nearest event and processing all events, which should occur at the moment. After that, the simulation is stopped. Than you can continue the simulation by pressing Run, or perform next time step by pressing Step again.

Clear

Pressing Clear returns model to the original state on before starting simulation. After pressing clear, you can modify the model, if modifications were disabled, when simulation started.

Animation

Toggle button Animation can be used to disabling  and enabling animation. Animation shows movements of entities.

Legend

Toggle button Legend can be used to showing and hiding names of model elements.

Results

Result button generates results report. Each pressing of the button will generate new report. It is possible to generate results even if you stopped the simulation manually and the simulation hasn’t reached the selected time. By manual stopping and generating reports, you can obtain reports from various moments of one simulation. Once result report is created, it is kept in the workbook, until you manually delete it. Result report are kept, even if you run the same  simulation more than once, or change structure of model and start new simulation. One workbook can conation only one simulation model, but there can be unlimited number of result reports.
